Does PSFU publish any vacancy announcements for the Work Readiness Program?

PSFU advertises “Calls for Expression of Interest”, which are published on its WRP portal and National Newspapers. Interested candidates should apply on-line through the WRP portal.

I have problems in completing my on-line application form and I don’t know how to attach relevant documents. Who should I contact?

When and how will I be informed about the outcome of my application?

Only candidates selected for an interview will be contacted directly by the responsible hiring office.

If I am not selected for an interview, can I be considered for the next call?

Yes PSFU will keep a roster of applicants. However candidates are advised to reapply If not selected when the the next Call for Expression of Interest is published.

I am 30 years old now. Am I eligible for the WRP?

No, Only graduates who are aged less than 30 years at the time of application and graduated within the last 3 years at the time of application are eligible for the PSFU Work Readiness Program.

Which company will I be assigned if selected under the PSFU WRP?

Companies will select preferred candidates for placement according to internal skills needs/gaps that are to be filled. PSFU will also use an automated matching technique to link required graduates with companies based on competencies of the graduates and need of the companies.

Which types of tasks does the Work Readiness Program offer?

The Terms of Reference (TORs) will be prepared by the hiring Organisation/Company concerned before the beginning of the assignment and shared with the selected candidate. Tasks will be at an entry level, in line with Company’s goal/objectives.

What is the duration of the WRP?

The duration of an PSFU WRP assignment is 6 months. Candidates are required to commit to 6 months under the WRP however companies may choose to extend the period according to needs that may arise at company’s discretion.

Once selected for placement, will I receive any financial support from PSFU?

Yes. Graduates will receive a stipend in per month in line with the host Company’s salary structure.

Is there any financial or organizational support for accommodation?

No. Graduates are responsible for their own accommodation at the duty station. However, medical coverage related to service-incurred is provided under GPA insurance policy, with PSFU paying the full premium. Candidates will be responsible for arranging, at their own expense, medical insurance covering non-service incurred during the duration of the assignment.
